Consultation to support the review

A detailed consultation guide (PDF, 170 KB) has been published on this website. This guide provides background information on the Ontario College of Trades (the College), the reviewer’s mandate, and invited written responses to a number of questions.

In-person consultations

Organizations or individuals that submitted a written submission also have the opportunity to participate in regional in-person consultations to clarify or expand on points made in their written submission. Regional in-person consultations will be held in April and May 2015 across Ontario, and have been scheduled for the following dates:

  • April 9 – Kingston
  • April 10 – Ottawa
  • April 13 and 14 – Hamilton
  • April 15 – London
  • April 16 – Sarnia
  • April 17 - London
  • April 21 - Thunder Bay
  • April 23 – Sudbury
  • April 28 - GTA (Etobicoke)
  • April 29 and 30 - Toronto
  • May 1, 11 and 14 – Toronto

The goal of the review

The analysis, advice and recommendations of the Reviewer will support the continued success of the Ontario College of Trades and help modernize the skilled trades system in Ontario, and maximize the effectiveness of the College in carrying out its objects and functions and fulfilling its duty to serve and protect the public interest.
